Tonight we almost missed the movie "House of D" for another current release "Crash"...So glad we did not...again, local critics are full of crap...We were throughly enthralled by "House of D."
I knew from the moment we saw David Duchoveny cycling at night down the Champ Des Elysees..we were in for a treat...
When we left we were both chocked full of emotions...How could Tea Leoni, Robin Williams , David Duchoveny not be but great...Like action, this may not be your movie..We like movies about character development and challenges..This movie fit that bill....
To be 13 and face all that let alone tragedy at 13...and the bicycle had a role in changing the lifes of all it touched...Robin Williams...should we not expect that...
I can remember looking at bikes similiar to those oggled at by Robin Williams in our local hardware..brings back the awe and challenges of our teens..
anyone else effected so by this movie, I would think earmarked by its profundity....I would nominate it for the Oscars..
another actress who effected us...The Lady at the House of D...who is she...?
at first I thought Cicely Tyson... shared in Tyson's aura...for us,this movie is one we plan on seeing a second time...

I thought the role of bicycles in "House of D"...childhood cop outs from reality..and of course mobility... I think the child character "Tommy" evolved into a pretty decent person in spite of such adversity that would have destroyed many a child...and the bike helped find his way to a successful , caring manhood.
