Ok this one isn't directly cycling related but bear with me. On the weekend I strained my left quadracep warming up for a social soccer game. Now I'm not the fittest guy out there but I bike an hour a day on a 30pd mountain bike, 4 hours on my weekly off road rides and do martial arts training 5 hours a week ( lots of kicking. )
So here I am kicking a ball back and forth when I drop onto my left leg to take a pass with my right foot and all of a sudden theres this jolt of pain thru the muscle. A day later it feels like someones punched me really hard in the middle of the thigh, I can cycle OK but walking is a little painful. What suprised me was that what I was doing was not high impact at all and its given me the worst strain I've had in a long time. Does anyone have any thoughts on how this can happen.
