Yeah I have been riding Ambrosio rims for years on my fixies...Their high end rims (Excellence, and Excellite) are beautiful and very strong.

I recently switched to Open Pros for my new Level Hubs, but that wasn't because I don't like the Ambrosios any more...I just wanted something that matched the silver anodized colour of the Level's a little better :)

Sloppy, PM me if you're interested in Ambrosios. I have LOTS of rims here. Different colours etc.

I saw some sweet Ambrosios in an Italian Giro magazine at the tabacco shop the other day...I have no idea what they were called though.

The Torelli rims should be OK. I've ridden them on my *gasp* geared bike for about five years with no problems. From what I've been told, they rate above Mavic MA3's and below Open Pros. They're supposedly a little softer ride than the Open Pros, but mine have held up well (i'm about 165 lbs). Hope that helps.
