An Orange Park, FL man was arrested Monday after being accused of trying to run over a family on bicycles near Fleming Island, FL. Johann N. Prewett, 50, was charged with aggravated assault. He was released from the Clay County (FL) jail Tuesday on $2,503 bail. A man, his wife and their child were riding bicycles on Countryside Drive when they passed a car whose driver yelled to them to get out of the way, according to a Clay County Sheriff's Office report. After the father told the driver to calm down, witnesses said the car sped in front of the family, stopped and went at a high speed toward the family in reverse. The driver told deputies he had backed up to ask the man why he had yelled.

Jeeze, the story below that is no winner either:
Chase ends with DUI charge
An Orange Park man whose license has been suspended seven times on alcohol-related charges was arrested Monday after authorities said he led them on a chase.
Michael S. Barnhouse, 50, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Deputies were investigating a hit-and-run accident when they saw a car with incorrect license tags swerving down Blairmore Boulevard. When deputies tried to stop the car, the driver kept going on Sigsbee and Clairmont avenues, according to reports.
The driver went through a yard in the 1400 block of Floyd Street and almost hit people who were on Gano Avenue, Clay County Sheriff's Office reports said.
Barnhouse's blood-alcohol level was 0.221, according to police. A person is considered legally intoxicated in Florida at 0.08.

Both these low lifes need to be off the street... How can a state suspend someone's license SEVEN times? Wouldn't you think that at about number 3 or 4 some DA or judge would wise up... Sheesh!

We're dealing with a low life that killed 6 people in a head on accident near Savannah, GA. The mofo had his liscense suspended 15 times, but he was only 20! Makes you wish cars had a DL swiping machine to unlock the key switch.
Wow. And I live in North-Central FL...
There are a lot of aggressive drivers here too. They will cut off, flick off, yell at, and go after cyclists. Some people just have big anger problems. When they come across something smaller, slower, and weaker than themselves, they will dominate. Its the same kind of people that abuse animals and small children.

As I said before... you'd think some judge would get the message at about suspension 3 or 4... sigh...
