Foo - exporting PowerPoint into a design program (eg. Quark)?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I got a huge project in PowerPoint and have been authorized to move the entire project into a design program and given a budget to do so.
Is there an extension/plug-in for Quark, In-design, or other mainstream/quality program on the market? Or perhaps a design/layout app that already includes this functionality?
Mac or PC
TIA!

Seriously. You can't do crap with PowerPoint. The colors are all RGB, the transparency is a joke - you can't even get that into a useable PDF. About the only thing I could maybe think of that might work is to bring it into Flash and export out as eps or illustrator files. Which would suck...
Why do you need it in a design program, out of curiousity?

I agree with HereNT.
You'll pretty much have to re-create it in Quark or (preferrably) InDesign or PageMaker. Hell, even MS Publisher would be better than PowerPoint.

OpenOffice's presentation program will open M$ Powerpoint presentations and offers quite a few exporting options. Might be worth a shot, won't cost you anything but time.

Thanks Nick! I'll look into that.
I'm still hoping to find an automated or 1-step process as the project sent to me contains 300 files  :(
