Mountain Biking - High-price FS Bikes.

Hey, just have three bike in mind, but not really sure which one to get. The three bikes are: Cannondale Gemini 2000, Specialize BigHit Pro, and Rocky Mountain RM7FR. Which one do you think have the best rear suspension system and which bike would you buy? your advice is appreciated.:)

Your one lucky dude to have those to choose from. The bighit pro and the RM7FR are super kickass bikes, you wont go wrong with either bike. I really dont know what one I would get.....the rm7 is spec'd a little better, but fsr suspension is really nice, I really dont know.

Well, I have a Rocky Mountain and I love it ......

Just out of loyalty, and due to the tought decision, buy local and go with the RM. It is the bike to own and there are tonnes of them up here. Definately the preferred bike.

Actually now I have one more choice in mind, the Norco VPS Shore or the RM7FR? you guys know how much they cost in BC and which one do you peeps like?

What type of riding are you doing? Both bikes are Canadian and equally popular and both are powerhouses. Maybe the style of riding will help you decide. Try both see which fits best. I do believe that is the point you are at.

I LOVED the bike, it's the best one for the money IMHO..

I got the DH, cuz I liked the color better, and i switched over to the FR crankset....

great bike, love it...I would certainly reccomend it....especially since you're in BC, the home province should provide some discount....

I'm considering the GEMINI for myself. Get's pretty good reviews and is very well spec'd.

From what I heard and read (haven't had the pleasure to ride one yet!). That the Gemini is similar to a Santa Cruz Bullit. Another nice bike to consider BTW. Difference being the bottom bracket height on the Gemini is higher which improves clearance but makes the bike feel tall.

I'm looking at the 2000 model and I'm considering swapping out the Super T for a Z-1 or a SC Shiver. I'll probably swap out the XT cranks for some chromoly cranks and chainguide. Probably a set of Profile's and either a BlackSpire or an Evil chainquide.

I have strong Specialized loyalty. But the RM7 is a legendary bike.

Can't go wrong with it. Honestly.

Between the Specialised BH Pro you mentioned at the top of the treat and now the idea of the Norco. Its down to what the components are because they both use the FSR design rear linkage suspension

The Gemini rear linkage works off a single pivot which arnt all that bad (Orange STILL use it) but single pin linkages have been prone in the past to lock up or not compress completely despending on angle of compresion and pedaling.

Either the BigHit or the 7. Either are great bikes. Decide what type of riding you want to do then decide. Are you going to do more dh or freeriding? The RM has more of a fr geometry then the BH and is a little more compact.
