I've been visiting the forum for a while now and even posted a bit already. I never created an intro thread though, so here it is. I just bought a new mountain bike in order to get back into shape, and also to haul my son around in his trailer on paved paths. I used to ride a long time ago, but that ended due to work, marriage, lack of a good bike choice for my riding style, and a myriad of other reasons.
I'm excited about riding again and am looking forward to using as many of Chicago's trails as possible. If anyone is willing to ride with a noob at Palos or Deer Grove sometime please let me know.
