Mountain Biking - What all could I do with this?

I want to get a single speed for xc and some little hucks and stuff.. I rode this one and its is soooooo sweet to ride.. The breaks kick major a$$ and the frame is so lite that you feel like you are riding a raod bike.

I was just wondering what all I could do with this... I know it is steel and the frame is super strong but I still dont know what ___aLL I cold do with it..

I am thinkin about buying it and them putting like a 120 mm travel fork on it later on in my travels...

Well, its designed for xc. In my mind that means drops less than 3 feet or so which occur during a xc ride. The frameset or wheelset is not designed for even minor hucking. You could put and 80mm travel fork on it. If you are nutty, you could possibly get away with 100mm. But no way could you put a 120mmtravel fork on it and expect it to steer properly. It is not a hardrock or a p series type bike. Sounds like that is kind of what you want.

I have looked at the p series but I hate how heavy they are and this bike is sooo lite that I like it a lot more.......Plus I wont be doing anything bigger than a 2-3 foot drop......any more info would help

Then why do you need a 120mm fork? The bike is not designed for drops, period. If you come along one on the trail and hit it, no problem, but if you are repeatedly dropping off loading docks, thats another story. You need to decide whether you want a) light or b) strong, because you can't have both unless you want to spend huge money.

This bike seems fairly limited. Single speed all rigid steel? And the price isn't so pretty, maybe if I rode it I may find out what it's for but the thing seems to be equiped wrong, maybe as a ramp jumper or trick bike?

i am going ot buy the sass because I want to do xc more than jumps and I have an awsome trail 10 miles from me.....flat rock creek ranchcomfort texas hahahah

I would think then at least there should be a rear derailuer. I mean going up hill and chaging terrain has you wanting al least a little different gearing, the added weight of a cassette, rear D annd one shifter + line would be easially achived at this price point. The more I look at it the more I think it's a rip off. I wouldn't want to ride a bike without a little more to it then one gear and disc's for $850.

anyways I was thinking about the SPecialized rockhopper disc........it looks like a good xc bike plus I can do some hucks and stuff with it?

Shes Niki Gudex, an Australian rider. She rides for Intense and no, unfortunately, she doesnt wear bikinis when riding.

Rip up Comfort for me! I raced there last year... that place is pretty darn rocky... we had a guy out there on a Bianchi BUSS (butt ugly single speed) and it near took his arms off with all the rocks.

hey seely how was the trail? I have never been there? would this bike be good for it?
