Mountain Biking - Good cheap bike computer?

Looking into these, but can't spend a lot of cash, but then also don't want to get stuck with one that totally sucks. Looking at $50 price, but lower would be great.

Cateye has several. Mighty 8 should run you about $30 or so. I love my Cateye.

Look at the SIGMA line. You can get a wireless for 50 bucks.

What features are you looking for? My wife got a cat eye (something) 5 and it has the basic features like speed, max speed, trip distance, odometer, and time for 15$. I got a cat eye astrale 8 for my road bike and it has (features listed below) for around 30$

Specialized has some starting around $23 that are darn reliable. Nice heavy gauge wire. I've decided for a MTB, wireless is a terribly unreliable idea.

I have a cateye astrale 8, I just don't use it much. I always want to get my average speed up so I make myself tired before I get to where I'm going.

I don't use one on my trail bike, but I've had my Cateye Mitty 3 for about 5 years now on my commuter with no trouble.

Cateye seem to have the best range. I got one, and got it for $60AU, so that was pretty cheap. Personally, I wouldn't spend heaps of money on a computer.
