Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Tempting...but...no!
Come on man... just LOOK at that back rest!! That thing is just screaming, "SERIOUS COMFORT!"
I believe that these are the only bicycles ever made that only get 10mpg.

Do you have to be old and from Florida to drive these things? I assume it has a turn signal on it that always blinks that it's turning right too ;-)

I don't get it.. how would that back rest be at all useful? It still seems like you'd be leaning forward on that ride... certainly not... back? I guess there some at the Bike Expo in SoCal/LA... but I didn't notice them... lame.. let us know how your tour on it goes ;)
Take an iboprufen and go have a lie-down, Istanbul... ;)

I like the road model, a no-name frame with 105 for $1,700. Awesome.

Here's the one for really cruisin'. ".....give this bike qualities that are seldom seen." for a reason:roflmao:http://www.cadillacbicycles.com/Images/AVP2.1M_big.jpg
Going into direct competiton with your favourite bike and mine, the Townie Electra. Maybe the design consultants were the same for both.
In practical terms, why the top tube sub-tube? And that little suspension do-hicky on the seat stay looks really reliable. Hmmm... more grist for the noobie mill.

My response is:
Friends don't let friends ride Cadillac bicycles.
Go to their website and count how many times they use the word "comfort".
Note how they refer to these as "the finest". Industry news suggests the bikes are made and assembled by a company called Kent, distributors of "the finest" big box discounters like WalMart and Costco have to offer. Fits right in with the Cadillac name doesn't it?
Do people that purchase Cadillacs actually exercise, wait, do they even sweat?
Didn't Hummer, BMW, and others try this and give up?
timhines, you used the correct term for these. A person doesn't ride a bike like that, they DRIVE it!
Come on...where else can you get comfort like that for the money! I'm glad I can't afford a Caddy!! :D
Does it come with a handle bar bell?
