I was drawing the side view of a handwheel today in autocad and the spokes of the wheel are curved. They have me two radii and the instructor told me that what i need to do is an Ogee curve. He said he would teach that to me monday but my curiousity is killing me. Can somebody explain it to me? I know a little bit about it already

Just a curve, or two curves that bridge two lines. Kind of an old fashioned term these days.

OK, thanks. I've never heard the term and I'm an old timer!

yep, two tangent curves or one spline. No straight line in between.
In sheet metal it's called "joggle" sometimes
