I havent seen this covered here but if it has sorry for repeatisms.......
I watched Go Further, a docmentary by actor-semi annoying activist
Woody Harrilson. It is about Harrilson and a band of SuperHippies
living out of and being followed by a bio-diesel powered support bus
while they ride bicycles from Washington to Cali giving lectures
on sustainable organic living. Some OK bike footage featuring lots
of Specialized bikes who obviously donated for the effort. On a scale
of 1 to 10 with one being a Pauly shore or Adam Sandler movie and 10
being Nepolean Dynamite or Pink Flamingo's I would give it a solid 5 for its
good message and a scene with Earthquake the Red Wiggler farmer.

I had to laugh when I read your definition for your scale.

I have to admit, although I can't stand most of Adam Sandler's movies, I really loved Waterboy. I just about fell out of my chair the entire movie just laughing.

I can't stand hippies

Harrelson likes to get stoned, leave it at that. Why does he need to try an attach the fact that he likes to smoke out to a bunch of political stuff that he would'nt have cared about in the first place if he wasn't a stoner. If you like weed--fine, but don't try and attach all kinds of things to it.

Burners that try to get all political are amusing to me.

My favorite is "Hemp is like totally the strongest fiber for rope and other stuff, man. The founding fathers used hemp for material"

Just smoke the **** if you want, don't try an go reinventing rope material or debating the constitutionality of 4th amendment, etc...

yeah but if beer was a great shampoo and you could run your car on it, you'd brag about it, right?
Maybe not, you seem a little uptight

Technically it wouldn't be re-inventing rope material since rope has been traditionally made from hemp fiber, and still is.

There was a reason that hemp was so widely used in the past & that's because it was a very versatile, durable, & strong fiber. Very easy to grow and a much more renewable resource than even the fastest growing trees.

If the founding fathers could look past the narcotic effects and see the resource value of the plant, why couldn't we? Besides, from what I've heard, industrial hemp has little or no narcotic properties.
