I was wondering if a Marzocchi Triple clamp drop-off can fit on a Cowan or any hardtail. Im looking to upgrade the fork to a dual crown and this sounds like the ideal fork to upgrade to.

Check with Kona to make sure they will warranty a cowan with a dc. But yes, FIT, it will fit fine :)
yeah a dual crown will fit, but i dont think they sell the drop off triple, so i would look into a jr.t or even a sherman slider

Ok thanks that's all I needed to know, as for the warranty, well I probably won't break anything that's not easily replaceable.

Its very easy to ovalize a 'normal' headtube with a dc fork. If the bike isn't built for it, it won't take the stresses a DC puts on it :)
lol i tryed that on my bike....dont ask.....it didnt work.......

Why will it not work? Is the headset not strong enough? And no you cant get the drop off triple seperate.
no its the headtube, if bikes arent meant to have dcs on them, it can ovalize it as mael said. also the fork can be too tall, leading to broken fork/frame/destroyed head tube.
just a question, why would you want a dc for a dj frame that is based around low travel forks. get a good single crown, it will ride better, and cost less money.

Well, you should listen to these guys, because they seem to know what they are talking about. If a triple clamp is not a good idea I say you should go with this:

that fork is even taller axel to crown than the drop off triple, and that would make a super cool chopper and all, but the words *snappy snappy* shouldnt be assosiated with a bike. plus he would have to get a new hub to ride that.... dj series is where its at.

The sweet spot of Kona's DJ series hardtails is 130mm.
are you still running the fox on yours?

Im starting to lean away from DJing now, so the fork isn't really going to be used for that but I am doing light DH with drops, hucks and whatever. Here's what the 04 Kona Stuff looks like with a dual crown, and I guess that I could get my LBS to change the springs for more travel in my DJ3.
even if you are getting away from dj, get a single crown with more travel, it will be more nimble, and ride better.

Hmmmmm....since you mentioned it I started looking into the Vanilla and it seems pretty good. Now I just have to see if it is compatible with my hub.
