Im looking for a marzocchi air adaptor for a marathon sl. I seem to have lost mine and marzocchi and my LBS both want $24 for the stupid little part, seems a little out of line if you ask me. I'm also not willing to pay $5 shipping for a part thats smaller than a standard hex bolt...anyone got one? here's a link to apicture of one if your wondering:

I had the same problem, lost my inflation adapter for my marathon XC. You can get another one here (http://www.bikeparts.com/search_results.asp?ID=MZ5321038) or I know Will from Full Cycles (http://www.fullcycles.com/) has them but they are not listed on the website. I think he was selling it for $15 shipped or so. Get 2 like I did in case you lose one then you aren't sol when you need to ride!

Hey Z" whatever....

That's the same price I paid to add the air pre-load to my '04 EXR Pro fork. It made a 2oo% improvement over the stock. IMO you would gladly pay that price for a whole new feeling fork....

Thanks for the offer to send it to me, Since im moving again at the end of the summer, i will probably lose it again and be in touch. AS for "z-whatever" i think you may be confused, I have a marathon which is already air, I am looking for the little adapter that goes on the shock pump, although i have to agree that adding air preload to some coil forks helps quite a bit. I will be in touch with full cycles, and i saw the bikeparts website, but they charge $7 for shipping the part, i refuse to pay that on principle alone, the part could be shipped first class mail for less that $.50, so i dont see why i should have to pay $6.50 for "handling" (what, does it take half an hr to put it in an envelope?). Sorry, i may come off as a little cynical, its actually mostly my fault for losing the damn part in the first place...thanks for all the help!

happy riding

Marzocchi replacement part prices are just cruel. The bushings for 30mm forks used to be almost seventy bucks EACH LEG around here. If you actually ordered all the parts separately for a $500 z1 it would probably cost you two grand to assemble the fork. I don’t know how everyone resists the urge take apart new forks and sell them as grey-market parts.

not a bad idea.they were gonna charge me 100$ for a dj3 crown .that was the price without shipping .out of the roof for the simplest part on that already pretty cheap fork.

has anyone noticed that the adapter is almost the same as the RockShox SID adapter, just a little shorter? i tried my friends SID adapter and no go, but its odd, its around $4 for a SID adapter and $20 for a zoke...I'm still looking for one if someone has an extra one, first person to PM me with one gets $10 via paypal...fullcycles wanted $18 shipped, lower than my LBS but still a lot for a stupid little part...nice guys there though. yeah, try getting marzocchi brake bosses from the manufacturer, i ordered some, $20! rediculous. anyways, rant-mode off, gonna go ride...
