Introductions - Hello from Dallas!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have been riding again for about 9 months. I used to ride a lot as a teenager, but then came college, beer etc... So now I am closing in on 30 and bought a Trek 1000 last year. I have been riding and trying to get back into shape and am really having a blast, moreso than when I was 16.
Welcome bgilby. Enjoy the forums.

Dallas area guy here also, Frisco to be exact! I am somewhat of a MTB'er who has fallen in love with road riding. Ordered the Trek 2100 on sunday afternoon after test riding several others. Can't wait for it to come in as I start my week and a half vacation on Friday. Off til the 3rd of June. Look to get in lots of riding in.
Where all have you been riding around DFW. I have worn out the 635 to white rock and around trail.
Ever been out to Fort Worth on the Trinity trail. Or I hear there is a good bike path in Arlington and at
Possum Kingdom Lake but that is a little far. It is just hard to ride on the street in my area. Lots of crazy drivers that do double the speed limit. Myself included, unless I see a Cyclist of coarse!!! LOL
I currently live close to White Rock and have also worn out White Rock trail and around the lake. I am in the process of moving to SE Plano and will have to find a regular route. I have heard that there are some good places to ride out around Lake Lavon.
