I rode my mtb for the first time since December yesterday. I moved about a year ago to start grad school and have had a hard time finding trails and time to ride. Before the move I was used to at least 3 hours on the dirt every week. Yesterday's ride was solid 3 hours (ride time) and climbed to an incredible view. I fell twice (these OR trails are a lot slicker than the AZ trails I'm used to), got a flat (first tubeless flat), and today my lower back, shoulders, triceps, forearms, quads, calves, and neck are sore as hell. I feel great!!! I forgot how much more of the body the mtb uses vs. the road bike. In 3 weeks my term ends and I have almost 4 months of summer vacation. I'll probably be working all summer, but I'll still have more free time than I do now. I should be able to get back to my 3+ hours of dirt riding every week. I can't wait.
