When I'm carry something on my rack it can block the light mounted on my seatpost. I can clip one onto my saddle bag but I'd like to also put on on the end of the rack itself. The lights I have looked at all come with the seatpost mount and a clip. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to put a light on there?
Thanks!

I use this one that mounts on one of the seat-stays. Sigma make great rubber mountings that are very stable and allow quick and easy removal.

Vistalite Nebula 5 is relatively "flat" and comes with a screw that will allow you to attach the light to a bracket on the back of the rack. The light runs about $15 and can be purchased on sale for less. Works well.
I made a bracket out of aluminum that holds two Vistalites. It's mounted to the underside of the rack so nothing blocks the lights and they don't interfere with anything I'm carrying on top of the rack.

Most bike shops carry a bracket that allows you to mount a single taillight to a rack. Probably costs a couple of dollars.
I prefer to clip a taillight to my cycling jersey. It's less likely to get knocked off if you hit a bump.

The traditional standard for mounting lights and reflectors is a bracket with two holes, about a quarter inch in diameter and about an inch apart. Most racks come with a bracket like that, or any bike shop should have one.

The Busch&Müller DToplight screws directly onto a bracket which is now standard on most racks. You can get bolt-on brackets for blackburn style racks.
