Does anyone have an opinion or comment between the D'Lite and the Trek trailer? thanks much!
I haven't shopped for a couple years since I bought my Yakima. The new Trek looks pretty wild! The Burley is wider though, important if you're ever going to put two kids in there. I found it very useful to take my kid to the bike shop and put them in the trailer like you're going to use it. Then you'll notice all the little things like the seating position, how well the seat belts work, front windscreen usage, etc. Also how easy it is to pull off the hitch and fold down if that's important. Also, consider if you need to use it as a stroller and which one works the easiest / best from that perspective.
The Burley d'Lite is a good trailer, and holds resale value pretty good....check used ones on Ebay. REI just ended a 20% coupon sale that could be used on the Burley trailers...they're usually hard to find good deals on (i.e. under list).
Good luck with your research!

During their "Great Gear Sale", all Burley D'Lite and Solo trailers are 20% off. Runs through June 2.

Burley has been building the best value kid's trailers for the longest time. They are indeed a D'Lite! . . . and made in Eugene, OR, USA!

I shopped around for trailers and went with the Burley D'Lite over all others because of it's protection of the child/children in the trailer, seating positions and belts, ease of folding and storing, and resale value. I'm sure that the Trek is a nice trailer, but for a little bit more I feel I got a good deal, and I will get back most of my investment when I get rid of it.

I've seen the Trek but don't know enough about it to make a fair assessment. The Burley's work very well and will likely have higher resale value. If they are functionally equivalent the Burley would be worth considerably more to me because of reputation and resale.
I have a Solo with mega miles on it and a D'Lite that is in it's first year now. Both work great. Pulling a 1 year old in the Solo is so much easier then pulling a 1 year old plus a 3 year old in a D'Lite though!

Good choice. Now don't forget the helmet for your little one. ;)

We have a Trek trailer bought in '99 or '00 that's been great. No problems whatsoever.

Got to chime in on Burley in general. We have the 1st solo they ever made - gone through my 3 kids, and now have the Piccalo trailer bike. Awesome build and ride quality on both and great reseale value.
