Hello out there! Tried to get into cycling a bit a couple of years ago, but the finances wouldn't allow it and my second hand, rescued from the trash cannondale was all I could muster. It sure provided some miles though, and still is! 2 years of Boston commuting and the like before I returned to the wonderful mountain west.
Right now recovering from surgery on my ankle, but before the surgery was really getting into it and enjoying it! after a few attempts, managed to climb rabbit ears pass, some steep trophy home neighborhoods as well.... Right now, with one clipless pedal, cycling is the best mode of transportation since I can't drive, and can't crutch as far as I think.
The cannondale bike is too small, but it works. just bought an old, probably early 80's japan made schwinn in smurf blue! 35 standover so it is as big as mass produced gets as far as I know. That is my fixer upper/fuxer upper project for the time being, eventually wanting to make a fixed gear townie commuter ball buster bike.
I've been reading the forums for a couple months now when I have questions, and usually find the answers.
