Anyone looking for a decent length organized bike tour I just found this website. The price is great, its about 500 miles, lodging and support is provided. I talked to the tour organizer personally and he seems like a really decent guy. Registration deadline is June 1. Well, check it out. Is anyone else familiar with this ride? Here's their site: http://www.bicycllinois.com/

Let me know your thoughts!

Your quite welcome. I like the idea of completing the Northern Illinois loop of bike paths from Chicago to Moline and back. There was only two people that put their names up for completing this ride. If only I can convince my muscles to get back in shape and find the time.

Have you tried the Old Mill Century ride? It's at: http://www.oldmillcentury.com/.

I heard it was a great ride. I was at the Chicago Bike Show this year hanging out at the booth. The folks running it are great, and it's pretty cheap (20 bucks), and there's a barbeque and band at the end of it. It's like the Woodstock for rides.

No, it's not two. I just spoke to the organizer yesterday and he said they're current number is at around 40. I don't know where the two came from. Either way, I'll be at the orientation meeting this weekend so I'll find out for sure.

It'll pass by my hometown and through my college town. The milage seem quite high (98, 98, 100). For flatlanders that first 64 miles will be tough as its much hillier down there. Sound like fun.

The two came from my reply about who posted their names for completing the 535 mile Grand Illinois bike trail loop. Looks as if there is more than two. My mistake. This link is interesting. http://www.bikelib.org/trails/git/
