Yeah, I'm retiring the bike, I'm getting a trek 4300 frame and I'm going to be tricking it out.
I heard he's joining the dark side. Kinda ironic considering how much he used to bash their bikes. Of course what can you expect from a pro? Follow the money

Does that mean he's going to change his user name as well?
I would think so. It wouldn't be the first time

Yeh, Im confused too, why are you getting rid of that little beast and buying a low end XC bike? Why not start on a higher end XC frame at least?
Unless your joking about the 4300, in which case I apologise to all, its very late here!

Must have been fooling around that weekend, I'm usually at Fox State Forest when putting a more serious effort in.

In 2004 kona started making all the frames in that series the same. In 2003 and 2002 the stuff had the 'weaker' stays. The roast and chute had extra welds and gussetts to create a stronger rear triangle.
The cowan continues that type of build :)...
However until I have it, I won't give away the replacement.
Dood, that's too much information! We don't want to know about your "stuff"!

For djing...hydro brakes aren't needed. I would buy them but I get hydros the same prices as the bb7 with all the crap you need to buy to make it an entire system. And barspins aren't exactly a trick I am working towards :)...
