Everyone has different requirements for shoes. Depends on how your foot is shaped. A shoe that works for me, may or may not work well for you. Go to some bike shops and try on a variety of shoes from various manufacturers.

Just bought some CAT-1 shoes with the corbon sole. Only 98 bucks at performance. I had some pearl izmuis before but way too norrow and the shimanos where too narrow too. If ya got wide foot you may wanna try a pair on. So far so good. The feets really appreciate it.
