Not if you spit on the inside of them and rinse in the pool water... ;)

Ew that's sick, we used to do that then we found these certain leaves (no not THOSE leaves!) worked ok........ don't they have new ones these days that don't fog or hardly fog?

I have a pair of goggles I wear alot, sort of like the ones Riddick wore in Pitch Black.
I picked them up years ago when I was riding my motorcycle, man do I miss it now, '71 Harley Shovelhead... drooooolllllll
anyhow, they are great and my mirror clips on them just fine, and yes I get some strange looks.

Nothing works like spit... period. I swim and dive and once taught SCUBA... no other alternative was as handy nor worked as well. Heck, it is YOUR spit... just do it. Of course don't forget to rinse... jeeze.

spit is excellent.
so is baby shampoo. rub one small dot around the inside of the lens. rinse (gently). the soap film prevents fog and the baby part keeps the sting out of your eyes.

My daughter used swim goggles for about a month of commuting then gave up on them. Swimming goggle have cheap plastic lenses that scratch everytime you try to clean them and they became worthless.

I also started using motorcycle goggles (ala Riddick), after getting frustrated with riding through swarms of insects, or dust clouds from construction/tractors/wind. Fanfreakintastic. I can't say how much I've been teased about my new look, but I won't go back to regular sunglasses. I even bought a pair of untinted goggles for night riding.

They're also great for riding in winter conditions, keep the eyeballs warm. Fogging up is only a problem if my scarf or facemask channels my exhalations over them.

Now I don't feel like such an oddball!
For riding in the dark I have a pair of yellow safety glasses that are laser rated. I used to operate industrial lasers on a night shift and kept them on one night as I was driving home and found that they aid in my visibility.
Now if I could only find yellow tinted goggles.

You might be able to get ski goggles with interchangeable lenses. I'm not sure how they handle rain, though.

Where can I get goggles like Riddick in Pitch Black other than the copies available from reelworldprops?
Emailing me a reply would be much appreciated.

Thnx

Hey, actually, that makes sense. I wonder if that would keep sweat out of my eyes?

That's something my sunglasses suck at.

Hahaha great idea! I always have problems in the rain with water getting under my glasses and in my eyes... the water then screws up my contacts and I can't see a thing... I never thought of goggles... ;)

Looks like another trip to the sporting goods store for me.

I could have used some goggles yesterday. My glasses were soaked/covered with rain making them pretty useless. I've heard of using Rain-X but I haven't tried it yet.

I do love riding in the rain, during the summer at least. I might not be too exicited about it in another six months.

I use a pair of snowboarding goggles in winter that have a joint in the middle and look a little like swim goggles. they keep my eyeballs from freezing and prevents the painful "pins and needles" thing when it's sleeting/hailing/snowing. great stuff.
