There's a group ride in the don this evening with sporting life bikes. Leaves from the shop at 6:00. Last week about 20 people came out, all different skill levels. It's a fun ride.

yah there is two sporting life's. There is the big one that is just south of lawrence and then there is the Sporting Life just south of the big one that specializes in Ski's and Bikes.

Yeah, it's the sporting life bikes store, on the west side of yonge several blocks north of eglinton. Mostly guys riding, but there are always a few women. Quite a few novice riders come out. Usually the ride breaks into two groups-one more advanced and the other more laid back. It's a friendly ride either way, just fun, no attitude.
Anyway, I'm always up for riding on weeknights and weekends. Usually I'm in there by myself, so company is welcome.

So I went trail riding for the first time here in Ontario and it was BRUTAL... Went on the Don Valley, entered at Leslie and Eglinton. Chewed, up deep ditches, almost %$#^ my bike.... brutal climbs. I ended coming off the trail. Someone please tell me there is an easier part to this trail.
I went trail riding once when i was in Vancouver and I LOVED it, smooth trails with a few rough spots and that is why I bought my bike this spring to try it out here in Ontario... First experience was brutal but I did love riding around the city for 5 hours.
So what does one do to their bike after hitting the trails for a bit and then riding around town for a few hours?

Where in the world did you ride in vancouver that it was smooth? I have ridden both and so have others and thats the first time I have heard that.

There is a nice smooth fast twisty trail that you should like. I even ride it on my road bike sometimes. Difficult to explain where it is though.
