Noticed in another thread that someone mentioned renting a recumbent to try it out. Great idea! Does anyone happen to know any shops in the mid-atlantic/northeast area (I'm in eastern PA) that do recumbent rentals?

Thanks,
Randy

Looks like Bikes @ Vienna (Vienna, VA) rents 'bents. See their site at http://www.bikesatvienna.com/

Ditto the Bikes@Vienna nod. John knows bents, and he's very good about figuring out what it is you like and what you don't. We talked to him on a very busy day, he listened to what my wife disliked about the road bike and what she had in mind, then pulled a bike out and fit it for her. Asked some questions, had her try out a few more bikes, and we ended up buying the first bike, an EZ Sport. He's like a block from the W&OD trail and encourages rides. He set me up on a Marin when my wife was test riding, so I could ride along. He also has a good selection. There's another shop, in Maryland, that specializes in bents. I believe it's Mt. Airy Bicycles (http://www.bike123.com/) that I've heard good things about, but I don't see anything about rentals.
