Preferably a black one, although colors don't really matter that much.
I'm a cheapass, though.
Any suggestions on models, brands, etc.? It would be best if the brakes were sold individually, as I don't really want to buy a rear brake that I will never use!

I may have a spare in the basement. I'll take a look tonight when I get home. Don't remember what I have though, nothing fancy, just something that works.

i've got a spare. it's a dia-compe something or another, in black. it's yours if you want it. you pay for the shipping or we could trade something...
brakes are sold in singles, but you usually have to get the LBS to order from QBP (or you could do it yourself from someone like AEBike, if you into the OBS sorta thing). limits you to their catalog though.
i have a new, single black lever you can have for free..

Go to cambridge bike and ask them if they have any used stuff. They hooked me up with a brake for under $20 about two weeks ago.
i have an old school black dura ace that i may be willing to give up. probably willing to give up. unless it's run off somewhere. i'll dig through my bins

Tektro is cheap and stops very well in my experience.

Mosey into Broadway Bicycle School at 351 Broadway in Cambridge. They'll have a used lever and almost certainly less than $20.

You're a very bad man. Why not just recommend going brakeless, if you're going to be like that?

Do you happen to be selling a set? :D
What, couldn't stand to mix them with your prototype Shimano 10 road drivetrain?

Hey turd, if Bostonfixed doesn't want it I'll take it. Oh wait. is it one of those cyclocross levers? If so, I'll take it or trade ya something for it...let me know. Thanks!

I was riding around the outside of the Hippodrome de Longchamps in Paris (Its where all the roadie clowns go to train), and I saw about 5-6 sets of delta brakes in about half an hour without even trying to look for them. It was pretty much out of hand.

I've got more pairs of cantilevers than you can shake a stick at, if your fork swings that way.

thanks, j-b, but i'm after center- or side-pulls, as my fork is post-free. Guess I should have mentioned that.
we have a scrap bike that sports U-brakes, of all things, which I also can't use. Though I probably will do something with the bio-pace cranks thereon. We've got six bikes in the house, and not a center-bolt brake among them.
