Electrical tape just doesn't seem to cut it with stiff cable housing. The tape stretches, and the cable doesn't stay in place. Can I use plastic wire ties, then Aztec Vibe Wrap, then bar tape? Will the heads of the wire ties prevent this from feeling smooth?

Thanks.

FYI you can get real bar finishing tape that will hold up. Otherwise I would just use one tie (each side) to take the strain off then cover that 1 tie with some of your cheap tape. Doubt you will feel it.

electric tape should hold up well enough, I always wrap them quite a few time with it, have to wrap it tight as hell, then if the bar wrap is tight enough you shouldnt have any problems.
