Bought a pair of race wheels for the wife (Specialized TriSpoke rear and Hed Deep front). When it's any wind at all, she's complaining that she can't hold the line.
Could it be that she simply does not have the weight to keep them steady? (She's about 107-108lbs.)

You got her a Deep front?!? I don't think I've ever seen a Deep front. Most folks get the Deep for the rear and get a lower profile wheel up front to improve control in winds. I would think that even someone who weighs 175lbs could have problems with a Deep front in winds.
I think your right on the money. You'll probably have to go with spoked wheels.

Thanks Gonzo/Tri Bob's! :)
Sorry for the confusion... It's a Jet front, not Deep.... Still about 45mm deep, so definately sensitive to wind...
I tried out the rear today and I can't keep it steady either! And I'm 147lbs.! So I tried out the front, and slightly better, but felt a bit out of control.... Think we will have to sell them off (they look stunning on the bikes though... but I guess that doesn't help much in a race...) :)

RoadToad,
Of course you're right!!! It's all about the "intimidation factor" :D
Won't really help when you're being pushed over by the wind though... Wish I could intimidate the wind...
I run the cosmic carbones (50mm deep rim) and have absolutly no problems in the wind or holding a line. Of course I am 220 pounds and quite strong on the tt bike. Many people use even deeper dish rims than that with no problems. When I can afford it I will eventually get an even deeper set (like a ZIPP 999 disc front setup)
