if you were infact referring to the m515s, i heard there were some problems with cliping in and out and like spring tension doesnt stay and stuff. altho i know how to adjust them as i am a techy, i dont want messed up clips when im trying to sprint

ah! you're right, I'm dumb, here's the Shimano site to illustrate the obvious difference: images/advsearchroll.gif (http://www.shimanocycling.com/Footwear_Pedals/pedals/index.asp)
I feel like I'm pushing pedals...if you want them, sure.

everyone i know who has the a515 loves them but everyone i know who has the m515 hate them.. something about they can either clip in and never clip out and kill them self or vice versa

this is b/s i dont think any company makes good SPD pedals unless you are prepared to spend 150US on them. that sux. and look pedals are too expensive

I have M515s on my cyclocross bike. They're not the best pedals I've ever used, but they're not the worst, either. As long as you use the Shimano cleat -- and only the Shimano cleat -- you should be okay. I'm planning to upgrade these pedals at some point this summer [before the cyclocross season, in any event], but not because they don't work; only because they get clogged with mud too easily.

I know some people who've had some success with the Ritchey Road Logic pedals. They're not the toughest out there, but they seem to work.

yah some people like them and some people hate them. Victor i believe makes the pedals for them and i can get the identical pedal for 50bux at my cost. Umm are they any good. The vitor road pedals that look identical to the ritchey

look all i need is a pair of SPDS for my road bike that i can clip in perfectly and not worrying about unclipping if i have to when im sprinting. but i dont wanna break the bank. :)

Of course... you could always just spend $10 on a pedal wrench and swap your pedals between your MTB and roadie, as needed...

i already own one (i do work at a bike shop) and i have done that for 1 day now but like i said.. my ritcheys suck lol. so thats why im on the forums once again harrassing everyone about it lol. for now im living but ya know.....

If you do want my m515's, I really don't mind getting rid of them!

I've got M515's on my MTB and just put them on my cross bike. Haven't had any problems with them at all.

4 m515 reviews (http://ad.doubleclick.net/adi/sports_outdoors.epin/bike;sz=468x60;tile=5;u=141437|5;ord=10253032179307ed6f1b5b9c4b0ef47d778267b54225b?)

so the good reviews are there but if you go on MTBR where there are multiple reviews many dont like them.. are they nuts or are they just incapable with SPDS or wat. I can pick the pedals up here for 70bux soo.. as long as they are better than my mountain pro logic

WorldIRC

i am either able to get

Shimano m515 for 70bux
or Victor (forgot the model) the ones that are identical to the Ritchey road logic for 50bux. they seem to have good bearings in the spindle.
