Thank you - for the info. Does anyone know where I might score a single ( bull horn brake lever )?

You can find them on eBay readily. I was looking at these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7155139508&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
Just to give you an idea. I blew my bike allowance this month though, and didn't go for them. Right now I use regular old Dia Compe "aero" levers flipped around on my bullhorns. A little funky at first having to pull the levers mostly with my pinky and ring finger, but I have gotten used to it.

Chucksbikes.com has the Tektro RX 4.1 levers (with the return spring) for 15$ for a pair (same price as that ebay auction, and slightly nicer levers). Unfortunately it is a pain linking to things on that site, so go to http://www.chucksbikes.com, click on Online Store, then click on Brakes on the left side.
peace,
sam
