Touring. Nothing like the freedom of being self-contained on the open road, breezing by gas stations and chatting with locals interested in your cycling travels. The anticipation of what is around the next curve or over the next hill, the little discoveries along the way.
A close second is my daily utility cycling, such as grocery shopping, runs to the ATM, video store, etc. I like the feeling of accomplishing daily tasks on my bike, especially when so many car bound folks can see me and perhaps plant a seed with them that the bike can put some fun in the drudgery of daily routine. Of course, there's the self-righteous feeling of being on a higher moral and ethical plane ;-)

That’s a real tough question. I like touring too but get a real thrill out of racing. I’d have to say racing for now is my favourite. Crusing around on my fixed gear is fun too, then there’s the mountain bike, the cyclocross bike……..

Long country road rides do it for me. Of course a nice 10 mile loop at a moderate pace works too.

Ditto :)...I love being lost in the woods and just not where near a building, car, or piece of concrete. Probably my most satisfying is a good technical trail with stunts and bridges on a wet day and riding clean. Doesn't happen often but when it does I can't wipe the grin off of my face :)
