Has anyone done anything creative with the derailleur hanger on their road conversion fixies? I don't mean removing it, but perhaps using it for something functional or artistic?

mine has a 1.5 inch spike sticking out of it, to match the one mounted where the rear brake used to be.

i like spikes.

check out any motorcycle catalog that caters to riders of harleys and other v-twin cruisers. there's all sorts of stuff like that.

Ha! I was wondering where I was going to carry those on World Naked Bike Day!

I haven't yet found a use for the hanger, but there are some beautiful brass bells (Jitensha in berkeley sells them, not sure where else) with the same threading as downtube shifter bosses...my masi now sports two of those.

You could rig up a camera mount to it. That would be a kinda cool camera angle...

He actually uses his hanger for it's intended purpose.

I would like to see a front brake mount as well.
