i got a set for 10$ from the LBS and they don't last that well... they tend to get stiff while the part that wraps around the pedals gets noodley... so they don't retain a nice basket shape in which you can place your feet

I love 'em. Used to run nylon which sucked, now I run leather Christophes and they're great. No complaints.

I order new straps thinking they all were leather.

I scored pink leather straps from the LBS for $2.
And that was before I worked there.
Yeah I'm still gloating about that one.

I bought the Christophe straps from Nashbar a while ago.
For those of you with big feet, make sure they fit- the ones I bought don't come close to surrounding my size 13 bricks/ahem I mean feet/

I bought some, I wouldn't trust them on the fix. They seem thin. I actually trust the 20 year leather straps that came off an old bike before the new ones. I put the new ones on the road bike.

I like the leather/nylon laminated variety. They seem like the best thing possible, for straps anyway.

these are the old stand by! They are like the old flat trains in NYC when u see it you pay your respects. (U have to be a Graff Head)... They are good to go even when worn.
