Introductions - Bridgestone Biker! Minneapolis

Hi,
I am new here and have found these forums to be great. I used to ride 2 Bridgestones but one was stolen. I am left with a 1993 Bridgestone MB-6, burgandy red color. I used to have a 1986 Bridgestone 300 road bike burgandy red color. The theifs took my old road bikes (BS 300) and my new road bike (at the time, the last year Schwinn made steel (reynolds 853) road bikes 2001 Schwinn Supersport GLX, blue/white). I can care less if I get the Schwinn back. I am having a hard time finding a Bridgestone that is close to what my old one was and trouble getting people to let go of theirs. I have owned many bikes throughout the years (DOB 1970) and have never had a bike stolen until them came into my house and stole all my DVDs and backpacks and my two road bikes. I now lock my bikes up even in my own house! I have never and will never (unless they get taken from me) let go of my Bridgestones!

**Any info would be appreciated about Bridgestones, either used ones for sale (NOS is fine) or my original one. Also catalogs/literature for the bikes.

Bridgestones are great bikes. I have a 1989 MB-2.

Thanks for your replys. I finaly found a Bridgestone frame and fork but it is in bad shape. I currently have it at a frame builder being repaired. I then need it painted and then built up. I might just build it up cheap and keep it. Then try and get a mint Bridgestone road bike.

I've got a pair of Bridgestone MBs, but they're not for sale! One is a ~91 MB-3 and the other is a ~93 MB-1. The 1 is about to go to Powdercoat Technologies in Hopkins for a paint job, then to get built up for SS off-road action. The 3 is my everyday bike and has been my primary form of transportation for 5 years; I've owned it for 12. Its tough to get a B-Stone out of someone's hands, unless they have no idea what they've got, but they're out there.

I saw a guy apparently commuting on a Bridgestone MB frankenbike with bullhorns and bar end shifters just the other day on the Cedar Lake Trail... coolest bike I've seen in a long time (although it may be considered blasphemy to some).

A lot of the standard configurations of Bridgestones were considered to be blasphemy when the bikes came out. From refusing to put on suspension (until I believe their last model year) to moustache bars and road geometry on mountain bikes, some people looked quizzically at the products that Grant & Co. were producing.
