Hey! I have a Mongoose racing bike and i would like to know if there is any difference between the size/length of my bike and a freestyle bike.
the major difference between a race and street bike is the material they use. most race bikes are made of aluminum and street bikes are 4130 chromoly, if they're good. aluminum just won't take the abuse of doing tricks and messing up like chromoly. kids nowadays seem to be very interested in one type of riding and feel they need a bike made just for that, thats crap. if you get a bike you feel good and comfortable on you can ride any type. i had a dirt jumping setup cause thats what i liked but i still rode ramps and street with it and it was fine. hope that helped.
