I have been using mine for a few thousand miles and I really like them. When I first purchased them from my LBS, when I noticed that they installed them with the top of the bars angled upwards. I thought this would be uncomfortable, so I asked them to make them parallel to the deck. I started rethinking that last week when another LBS owner showed up on his new Cannondale on which the K-Wings come standard. His upper bar was noticeably angled up which makes the drops parallel to the ground.

I am curious as to how you guys run your K-wings, and how you have the drops oriented in relation to ground. Thanks.

I'd seriously post this in the road forum... probably get more responses there?

This seems to me to be a very expensive upgrade for nothing!!!! skydive69 what kind of handlebars did you replace with these. I can think of many things to upgrade on a bike but I think the handlebars would be the last.

I'm trying to get a feel for the amount of up angle being used.

My drops are angled slightly down, so I have a fairly significant upward slope on the top of the bar. I only ride the tops when I'm climbing and my body is erect so this gives an appropriate/comfortable hand position on the bar. It also keeps my shifters mounted high which I like for riding the hoods and with the drops angled down, riding the bar ends in the drops is very comfortable for me. I double rap bar ends and hoods to make the bars wider/more comfortable for endurance riding.

Thanks for your input. I think the tendency is to be setup like you are, but at the least with the top angled such that the drops are parallel to the ground.

A small improvement in comfort can be worth a lot of money. It took about $3000 worth of modifications and clothing purchases this year but now I ride without chronic wrist pain, sore feet or a sore a$$. I am not being totally facetious when I tell my friends I'm buying an expensive bit of cycling equipment for medical reasons.
