Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Stupid question
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Its kind of stupid, but I was looking at FG for commuting and endurance riding, but I've got zero clue where to start with a bike like this.
How do you stop? I've noticed that most of the ones I'm seeing, Mercier TT on ebay - don't have a brake at all.
Thanks for any info, sorry about the stupid question
Sheldon Brown is a good starting place for basic information. You can find his page here (http://www.sheldonbrown.com/fixed.html).
Think about the bikes (mostly single speeds) you rode as a kid. Bring back any memories or reveal any clues?
