I'm a short rider (5' 6") but with a somewhat larger chest (42") for my height as I'm quite active with weights and other sports...so when I buy a medium, it's too tight and thus have to buy either a large or xl....and the problem here is it's way too long in the body and doesn't look right...heck it even makes me look shorter.

I do realize that Boure used to do custom but no longer (sigh...as they do such lovely work) … is there anyone out there who does really nice work both in prints and materials/finishings at a reasonable cost whom I might investigate further?

Many thanks
Joe

Check out this website. She is the moderator of a make your own backpacking website and a cyclist and a seattle resident. I'm not sure if she can help but its a possibility.
Being 5'7" and puny, I wish I had your problem... fortunately my fiance "claims" she doesn't care. :)
