I am an avid biker, and have been for several years. But lately after my longer more intense rides, i get an extremely queasy, nautious feeling for a few minutes. This always subsides, and i never throw up, but i have wondered what might cause this odd feeling. Before my rides i usually eat some granola or a power bar to get some carbs in me, and after i have an orange or banana. Any ideas?
Sounds similar to the situation I just posted concerning what happened to me this weekend. I hope someone can think of some answers or some things to explore.

Interesting. I don't know how to help either of you, but wanted to say that alot of times after riding (I don't get nauseous, though) I get lightheaded. I always attributed this to my equilibrium being affected while on the bike, but I'm not sure...?

I too hope someone is reading and helping us with this. I also get nauseated after I ride home from work.

Without knowing the full extent of your nutritional intake, the length, duration and intensity of the ride(s) and other issues, it could be a variety of things from dehydration to caffeine withdrawals to not enough food (bonking) to air pressure to over-exposure in the sun (sun stroke/heat stroke) to the effects of smog.
I think the only time I ever got nauseated after a ride was from being somewhat dehydrated on a long ride during a hot day (40 degrees celcius and biking on tour 125KM).
