Southern Region?
Alaska is a big state. Are you referring to Southeast Alaska, a.k.a. "The Panhandle?" (What looks on a map like it might actually be part of "NW British Columbia?") SE Alaska is the furthest south part of this state.
OR, are you talking about the Anchorage area, what we occasionally call "South Central."
Yes, you need to clarify. If you're thinking Southeast, you'll need to understand that you can't get there from here, at least not without a boat or a plane. Once you start riding, the road does end, and then you have to turn around or get on a ferry.
It's beautiful country.
