Hi all. Great community!

I like bikes and have been riding recreationally since I was 3 or so. :D I just rode them and never thought what makes a good bike.

I've had an epiphany after riding from toronto to niagara on a mountain bike. I'm never touching mountain tires again. :D

Now it's summer and I'm going to school, which is about 35 km away. I need to get rid of the spare tire I got in winter, so I'll be riding back and forth once I get a bike.

So, if you could help me with that, please do in this thread:

Thanks guys

Awww.. but it's so much fun to do that! I've done it (as part of TBN's TNT ride). Just think of it as a challenge -- the rest of those guys are weight weenies. A "real" man doesn't just glide to NF, he works at it! :D

Welcome.

BTW, I ride my MTB (Devinci Patriot) to and from downtown to York U. You want to lose weight. Why not just use the MTB and slicks (non-knobby tires)?

MsMittens! You are a missing person, I must say ... a certain Juci stepped out of the great white north and visited me last weekend - and I expect to be back up there this July - on bike.

What say you!!!

(Tri race going on)
