I decided to hit up the velodrome after work today (Monday) and was disappointed to hear that there are no longer Monday open time due to both the lines being painted & the Championships being held all through June. So after poring over the confusing website I decided to email one of the track’s contacts who gave me the scoop on open hours for the track
His response:
“The track is getting the lines painted on it as we speak and once that
is done the track is open all the time. You can go any time to ride it.
The exception is Monday nights which will be track Championships in
June and Wednesday when it is rented by a local club. We also have
friday night racing for beginners and Thursday night. We will have
Tuesday night training sessions and in July the track will have Monday
night training as well. The weekend is open all the time.”
My plan now is to try again Thursday evening and to go again next Tuesday (May31st) evening as well.
