Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Rides in Minneapolis

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Looking for some info on rides happening in Minneapolis or anywhere in Minnesota actually. I searched the forums but didn't turn up much. Looking for fixie stuff specifically but I'd be excited to go on just about any organized ride at this point I think.

There used to be a Saturday night ride out in MPLS - you can also check here - http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=176 for more possibilities if no one responds to your post. Good luck!
I don't think Saturdays count as organized. They're probably about as dis-organized and drunken as a ride can get and not be simply a pub crawl. Or a fire pit. Or whatever happens to happen that night ;)
The riders here just seem to be a pretty disorganized lot. There was talk from the people that showed up hearing about last Friday's alleycat (all from here, no couriers since they all knew it wasn't happening anymore) of putting on a race without courier input. Anyone still want to do that? I can supply printing at least.
There are also a lot of spandex rides, but I get the feeling that's not what you're looking for. There's the Grumpy's Girl Ride coming up, but if you're a guy you have to wear a floral skirt... Or get derbied down by a bunch of girls...
June 17th the Black Labels are leaving Hard Times and heading to Stillwater for a weekend of drunken fun in Stillwater on mutant bikes...
Saturday ride can be a good way to start meeting people though. Dinkytown McDonalds 9-9:30pm, pretty much year round. Drunk fast long slow short bars fires frozen lakes - whatever seems right for the night.
I haven't actually been out for one in about a month, and I'm probably skipping the next one, too.
Hope that helps.

One on One bike shop has a Saturday morning ride but I believe it's mostly offroad and pretty hardcore and fast, and there are also a number of looser and drunker rides they would have info on.
And if you feel like creeping around in slow motion and playing on the streets without getting any actual constructive "riding" done there's always Critical Mass every month (can find the info if you Google and dig around a bit).

3o'clock Sundays at Hard Times. Peanut Butter Bike Club. Non-confrontational. Riding and sneaking around train yards, grain alevators and other places.
Generally slow pace. I like to go fast, but not drop people so I keep it in check.
No drinking.
I'm fixin' to organize some fast-paced women's social rides on Friday evenings. First one will be on Friday, June 3rd, 7 pm. Anyone women who are interested can PM me.
Tues Night 2 4 1's
Triple Rock, sometime when they're still serving 241's (I won't be down there until after 10pm at least) out to the Turf Club for more 241's. Maybe some other stops that have 241's.
That was the plan last night at least, because somehow we had more Sat Night riders at the Triple Rock than on some rides in Jan. We only made it a block to Palmer's, though. I'm not sure if anyone but me was sober enough to remember that we were going to start it next week...
Anyone have any definate info on when the Lower and Upper bar crawls are happening again? Supposedly the Lower is next month sometime, but no-one seemed to know when or where...
