Hi all,

Are there any reasonably priced seats, that I might consider for my B.Y.O.B. (build your own bent)? ... and you thought it meant "bring your own bottle".

I'm getting the bike near the point, where I feel I might be able to jump on it and see what happens. I don't have a seat created, yet.

I'm trying to incorporate something into the design/function, that I've haven't seen before on any bike. If it doesn't work out, the seat might be the last thing to worry about. If it does work, it might be a break through, especially for bents! ???

Does anybody have any experience or suggestions for patents?

In their Homebuilders Corner on their website, Power On Cycling (www.poweroncycling.com) has quite a few seats to choose from.

Now if only they had pictures up for each model...

You might try http://www.recycledrecumbent.com/

The builder, A. D. Carson, posts regularly on www.bentrideronline.com. He might be willing to sell you a seat, but the plans to do it yourself are free. I ride a Rotator Tiger SWB with a similar full-mesh seat, and find it quite comfy while allowing good power transfer.
