I'm converting my mtb to accept road bike handlebars. I got the bike for free, but I miss having drops like on my old bike from 7-8 years ago. But now my interest has been piqued by bullhorn bars. They look comfortable. What is the advantage of these handlebars?

I use my bike mainly for commuting in an urban area. There is also possibility of some trial riding, but not much.

Also, if I decide on drops, are these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7157501135&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT) good brake levers?
