Hi everyone, I recently purchased an older Alan bike, made back in the 80's and was wondering if anyone has any idea who was the distributor at that time? Any input would be much appreciated!!
Kerry
Bikecology was the distributor in the mid 1980s, but I'm not sure of the early and late 1980s, without further digging.

Flex-o-rama alum. frame. I think Sean Kelly road one with a different head badge.

Sorry I don't but you might be interested in the price this guy has on his. It equates to about $3500:

That isn't just any ordinary screwed-and-glued aluminum Alan, but it appears to have carbon tubes. Also it has Campy Delta brakes, which I understand are a sort of cult item in Japan, no?

That's a mid 1980s Carbonio model. It was very svelte frameset for it's day, at under 4 lbs.

I admit, I do see those brakes on quite a few older bikes around here.
Steve.
not just deltas, but with the century finish. And new record parts elsewhere. a lot of money in parts.
