Need alittle help trying to understand the bike sizes, quintana roo geometry shows columns for size and frame size. I did some measurements (www.wrenchscience.com)and the frame size I was suggested was 53cm c-c. Now using the 2005 kilo as an example that would mean size 59. Am I right in this? Also I was looking at the 2003 kilo geometry and a 53cm c-c is like size 61...

any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you're looking at the wrong center to center number. You would be a 53 or 55 depending on how steep you cared to ride. But really, if you have no experience on a bike, might I suggest road bike before tri bike?

Here is what the roo site states: Not certain but are they referring to size as road bike size maybe and the frame size is the corresponding tri-bike frame size?

Size (cm) Frame Size c-c (cm)
47 41.0
49 43.0
51 45.0
53 47.0
55 49.0
57 51.0
59 53.0
61 55.0

Also, yea I have thought about purchasing road bike first and I might do just that...

thanks

those numbers are for the seat tube. You need to look more at the top tube. which would be
53... 52.5 cm
55... 54 cm
