is there anywhere in the nyc/nj area where i can buy a converted fixed gear/ single speed bike for fairly cheap...or an old track bike? ...or possibly anywhere that will convert an older schwinn continental that i have to a single speed? any help is appriciated thanks.

You can convert it yourself for less than $20.

Most people wouldn't expect something specific for nothing or next to nothing... Is there any reason you can't do this yourself?

because i dont know much more about bikes except how to ride them and i am not handy.
