I have a question for ya.

If I want to adjust the firmness of my fork, How do I do it?
Right now it's a little loose and I would like to firm it up abit.

Oh yeah, here's the twist. The pre-load adjusters are stripped. I am planning to buy a new fork (when the money comes). For now I wonder if there is anything I can do temporary.

Depending on your fork you can adjust the compression. If all you have is preload adjustment, and you want to get a new fork switching the springs, elastomer's or oil weight is well irrelevant.

A trick we used to use is to find a piece of pvc pipe just wide enough to fit in side the fork tube and cut it to the desired length to stiffin up the forks. This will however shorten the travel of the springs. Also make sure that you smooth out the edges of the pipe. The best way though is to buy stiffer springs.
