I just bought odyssey black widow cranks, They were very quiet when i first got them today. but after riding on them for a couple of hours they start to make a almost like a clicking noise. They make this noise most of the time when i am ridiing up hill. Should these cranks be making any noise or is this normal? Thanks Alot What may be the problem??

Try tightening them up. Also check the pedals to make sure they are tight. Also check to see if one of the arms are not hiting the chain stays. If none of this does not work, check the adjustment of the b.b. most of the time a new set of cranks will loosen as they seat in on the spindle.

Try tighting them up. Do what Precision Pedal said. Also you could go to a bicycle mechanic.

I too had this problem with an older set of Black Widows. I was told to tighten them, but nothing helped. Think it had to do with the bearings. Like a year ago my cousin was working on them, trying to get rid of the noise, and he didn't tighten them properly. I got on the bike, one of the arms slipped, and the part, where the bolt is, opened up. I tried to carefully close it back up without snapping it, but the damage was already done. Let's just say, I don't let anyone, but me, work on my bikes.
